2013in-situ installationsample of ground taken fromthe dried river bed, and plasticIn the exposition D‘UNE RIVE À L’AUTRE(From a riverbank to the other)
Pieces of ground are taken as samples out of the bed of the temporary dried branch of the river La Vire. They were carried from their original place to the new one, and suspended between the wooden parallel structure of “sol suppose”. In a fragmented way they constitute a displaced place, a place which has changed its localization, a delocalized place. It is a ground usually flooded and only fertile for a short period of time. The samples document the diversity of vegetation which has begun to grow in this silt before being flooded again by the next spate. Pioneer plants of a displaced ground.
